Cabin Creek Nordic Area
The Cabin Creek Sno Park, off Interstate 90 near Snoqualmie Pass, is one of the most scenic nordic networks in Washington State. With dozens of sno parks along the I-90 corridor, it’s likely you’ll have one to yourself. There are several loops ranging from easy, with gradual grades, to more difficult trails with steeper hills. For experts who want to carve fresh tracks, Mt. Amabilis rewards visitors with a jaw dropping view of Kachess Lake.

Methow Valley Trails
The hills, outside of Winthrop, Washington are home to the largest groomed nordic network in North America. The Methow Valley boasts 120 miles of groomed trails. While at first glance, that may seem intimidating to new skiers , their site hosts an up-to-date listing of open trails. Ski the the Methow Community Trail that crosses over the Tawlks-Foster Suspension Bridge. Test your abilities on the Rendezvous trail system with overnight huts. Koshko Sno Park
The Gifford-Pinchot National Forest, north of the Columbia River Gorge, is home to serene alpine lakes, old growth forests, and endless miles of wilderness. The Koshko Sno Park is one of many cross country trail systems inside the forest. This non-groomed trail network lets you make your own tracks to create your own adventure. This park is only open to non-motorized explorers so you’ll enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.

Echo Ridge Nordic Area
Just 10 minutes from downtown Chelan, Echo Ridge Nordic Area offers more than 25 miles of smooth, groomed trails. Due to its higher elevation, the nordic area is above the clouds with views in all directions of the Cascades. Certain trails welcome your four-legged friend to come along for the fun.
Plain Valley Nordic Trails
Plain Valley Nordic Trail, outside of Leavenworth, offers numerous loops inside the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Follow the Beaver Creek trail through the forest and embark on short side loops, most of which are less than half mile. Climb up and over hills, skate along a crackling creek, and take in the sights. Afterwards, warm up with a beer and pretzel in the Bavarian village of Leavenworth.
